Posting Directions





1. Open up your essay and minimize it to the bottom tray.

2. Go to http://menandwomencnhs.blogspot.com/

3. Sign in with username ryansmif@gmail.com and the password I will share with you in class

4. Click “New Post” under “Seeing Us Seeing Them”

5. Insert your title

6. Type your name at the top of the blog post text box.

7. Copy and past your essay below your name.  Highlight all your text and click the "Tx" button on the right side of the tool bar to remove previous formating"  Make your post look like my sample post by removing tabs and adding returns between paragraphs. You must use the "Default Font," size "Normal."

8. To add an image: Find one in another browser window, copy the address, and come back here and click the little picture button between the spell check and video buttons. Insert the web address. Use the default formatting with will make it fit in the top right corner of your post. If the picture turns out to be much bigger than mine, click the picture once it has been added to this box and make it smaller by dragging one of the corner white boxes.

To add a video: Open a new browser window, find the video, copy the embed code (not the web address), go back to the blog post, click the "Edit HTML" tab next to "Compose", past the embed code above your name, then click back to compose mode to continue.

9. Create 3-5 hyperlinks. Find a word in your text that may leave the reader wanting or needing to know more. Open another browser window and find a web page that provides clarification. Copy the web address. Go back to the blog, highlight the word, click the blue "Link" tab in the toolbar, and paste in the web address. Hyperlinking is great. Create 3-5.

9. Later, create a hyperlink to another student's post. Open their post by clicking on the title of their post, copy that web address, come back to your post, highlight the reference to another post, and do as described above.

10. Lastly, click the spell check button to make you last revision if it is needed. I will change the log in soon, but if you need to get back in to make changes to your post you can do it for the next week.

11. Click the orange "PUBLISH POST" button below. To return and revise, click the pencil button at the bottom of your essay.  It only shows when logged in.
